Emerald Awakening-

Ireland Yoga Retreat

Join Juliet and Rachel for a week of intention, and awaken to your spirit’s call to reconnect and renew.

September 4-9, 2027

Nestled in the rolling green hills of County Wicklow, our yoga and meditation retreat offers a restorative escape designed to recalibrate body and mind. Each day includes two nourishing yoga practices—energizing morning sessions to awaken the body and slow, restorative evenings to settle into stillness—paired with guided meditation to cultivate presence and inner calm. Practices are suitable for all levels and emphasize alignment, breath, and mindful movement, allowing you to deepen your experience at your own pace.

Beyond the mat, you'll have time to explore Wicklow’s dramatic landscapes: quiet lakes, ancient woodlands, and sweeping coastal views that invite reflection and wonder. Gentle walks and optional silent periods provide the space to reconnect with your inner world, integrate insights from practice, and return home feeling replenished, grounded, and more attuned to what matters most.

Your Retreat Guides

Juliet Casso

Founder of Jem Yoga Retreats and your main contact

Juliet (Jules) Casso is a mama of 7 wild kiddos and a lover of all things nature, travel and wellness. With over a decade of teaching, Juliet brings her enormous passion of yoga to every class she has the honor of teaching.

Trained in various styles of yoga including: Hatha, Restorative, Yin, Baptiste Power, Prenatal, Acro and Bikram, you can expect to be energized, uplifted and deeply connected to your inner world after taking one of her yoga classes. Juliet loves to combine her knowledge of applied anatomy, the playful joy of partner yoga and the profound stillness and peace from yogic and Christian philosophy to weave together a tapestry of fluid movement, deep inner wisdom and physical strength. Juliet truly believes that yoga is for everyone and when we practice from a place of connection and deep listening, our bodies will communicate to us exactly how it wishes to be moved.

To compliment Juliet’s yoga background, she is also a master reiki practitioner, sound healer, massage therapist and certified homeopathic medicine practitioner.

Retreat Co-lead

Rachel Dirks

Rachel defines yoga as a space where life can be invited to take a breath through mindful movement, presence, and self-connection. As a mother of three boys, she lovingly refers to yoga as her “happy mat”—a place of self-care, grounding, and gentle reconnection. She teaches yoga as a “work in” rather than a “work out,” encouraging students to turn inward, listen to their inner teacher, and move with compassionate awareness.

Rachel lives and loves in the mountains and is happily married to her best friend. Family, nature, and health are at the core of her life and her teaching. Her classes are light-spirited, welcoming, and non-judgmental, open to all levels and body types. She completed her 200-hour RYT certification in Costa Rica in 2018 through School Yoga Institute and has since completed over 1,000 additional hours of advanced training in yoga therapy, Ayurveda, and supportive modalities including recovery, pain care, cancer care, and stress resilience, with a focus on adaptive care for all stages of life.

She specializes in Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, and Restorative Yoga, offering practices that support the nervous system and natural rhythms of the body. Rachel is also a Master Reiki Practitioner and Sound Healer, integrating subtle energy work and vibration when appropriate to support deep rest, reconnection, and a sense of coming home to oneself.

What People Are Saying

  • What a fantastic experience! A yoga retreat had always been on my bucket list, and the retreat with Juliet did not disappoint! My plus one was my husband who is a yoga novice, and he was thrilled to learn there were several other men at this retreat. In addition, Juliet has a gift for being able to teach at a level that works for all experience levels. Between the beautiful retreat center, whole nutritious foods at every meal, yoga sessions multiple times a day, and daily options to explore the country or just unwind at the retreat center, we had the most amazing time! Juliet is such a grounded yoga instructor, fun travel companion, and deeply caring human. This may have been our first yoga retreat, but it won’t be our last! Thanks Juliet, you are absolutely the best!

  • In October, we had the pleasure of traveling to Peru with JEM Retreats, and it was truly magical. We arrived at Munay Súnoq excited and were immediately captivated by the experience. The retreat offered not only enriching yoga sessions led by Juliet, but also deep, meaningful connections. Each day was a new adventure and we returned refueled and invigorated.

  • We weren’t sure what to expect when our daughter invited us to join her on a yoga retreat led by Juliet and Rachel in Nicaragua. In addition to being with our daughter and visiting a new part of the world, we chose to go because of her high regard for Juliet’s approach leading yoga classes. The retreat was all that we hoped it would be and more. The setting, food, and local cultural activities available were great, and, at 80 years old, we enjoyed connecting with the other group members of all ages. Juliet and Rachel were knowledgeable, creative, and intuitive, allowing each of us to personalize our own practice and experience without judgment or unrealistic expectations. We encourage anyone interested in a unique, enriching experience to check out JEM Yoga Retreats!
